The mid-70s I started playing drums because of Steve Smith. I was in 7th grade and Journey was becoming very popular. Steve's drum solo on the album Captured got me hooked. I attended many of their live concerts just to watch Steve play.

Steve Smith is one of the greatest of all times. It's always amazing to watch him perform !

Steve has always been a influence on me! I have never used black dot heads on Tom’s before? Leads me to ask. Is there really a Remo or any brand head that doesn’t sound good? Great solo!

What drumstick model is he playing with? I really enjoyed the way he develops his musical ideas and displaces them, morphs them in a truly natural flowing way.

I am proud to own a Sonor Delite in Birds Eye Amber. It just sounds fantastic. As a drummer, I often had the choice of playing on a high-end DW that was already on stage. The organizer, our manager and the sound engineer naturally wanted the shortest possible break between the bands. I did it twice. I then said I would only do it with my Sonor and the DW was removed from the stage.
